CarePatrol
CarePatrol provides free senior care advisory services to consumers and their families, helping them navigate the often complex process of finding suitable living and care options for their loved ones.
Recap of services:
- Personalized Needs Assessment (Discovery): CarePatrol advisors conduct a detailed "care discovery" process to understand the senior's unique health needs, personal preferences, lifestyle, and financial considerations. This ensures that recommendations are truly tailored to the individual.
- Identification of Care Options: Based on the assessment, CarePatrol identifies and presents a range of appropriate senior care solutions. These can include:
- Independent Living: For seniors who are largely self-sufficient but desire a supportive community.
- Assisted Living: For those who need assistance with daily activities like bathing, dressing, or medication management.
- Memory Care: Specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia.
- Nursing Homes: For seniors requiring 24-hour skilled nursing care.
- In-Home Care: Services that allow seniors to receive support and companionship in their own homes.
- Guided Tours and Advocacy: CarePatrol advisors accompany families on tours of recommended communities (or provide virtual tours). They act as advocates, helping families ask the right questions, understand care details, and ensure transparency with pricing and services.
- Transparent Pricing and Financial Guidance: They strive for transparency in pricing and can help families explore various payment options, including private funds, veterans' benefits (like the Aid and Attendance benefit), and other government programs they may be eligible for.
- Moving Day and Transition Support: CarePatrol assists with the practicalities of moving, ensuring a smooth transition for the senior into their new environment.
- Continuing Care Support: Their support doesn't end after placement. CarePatrol advisors offer ongoing check-ins and support to ensure the senior's needs continue to be met, even if their health conditions change over time.
- Network of Professionals: CarePatrol often has a network of related senior care professionals they can connect families with, such as elder law attorneys, financial planners, realtors, and movers.
CarePatrol's services are at no cost to the consumer. They are compensated by the senior living communities and care providers when a placement is made. This allows families to receive expert guidance and support without adding to the financial burden of senior care.
