New Hires
If you are a new hire and take no action to enroll in or waive benefits, you will not have benefits with the County or Summit or receive the $50 monthly cash incentive. You must wait for the Annual Open Enrollment Period or experience a Qualifying Life Event to enroll in or waive benefits.

During the Annual Open Enrollment Period
If you are currently enrolled in County of Summit benefits and take no action during the Annual Open Enrollment Period, your upcoming plan year benefits will default to the Medical Mutual MedFlex Plan. If you waive benefit coverage and take no action during the Annual Open Enrollment Period, you will not have benefits in the upcoming plan year, nor will you receive the $50 monthly cash incentive.

Qualifying Life Event
If you experience a qualifying life event and take no action to revise your benefit elections, no changes will happen, including the addition of a dependent spouse or child(ren).
