What happens if I am traveling outside the state of Ohio?
Check your medical ID card. Out of state networks are listed on your ID card. If it is a "true emergency" meaning life threatening or loss of limb, regardless of what plan you choose, you will have coverage at whatever hospital you seek services from. To receive in network benefits you must seek services from a provider within that plans out of state network.
Medical Mutual of Ohio: Determine which health plan you are on and check the back of your medical ID card for network services.
SummaCare: First Health Network
Please remember, you can utilize the telemedicine provider, First Stop Health, which is available under all health plans for non-emergent services.
